Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Spoofie: Prank & Daily Alerts mobile application ("Spoofie," "the App," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Spoofie, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Entertainment Disclaimer

By using Spoofie, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The App creates simulated notifications that are delivered locally to your own device only
• All notifications, messages, and chat simulations generated by the App are entirely fictional and do not represent real communications from any person, company, or organization
• The App cannot and does not send messages to other people's devices
• The App cannot and does not receive messages from other people
• The App is not a messaging service and should not be used or relied upon as one
• All content created within the App (sender names, messages, avatars) is user-generated and the user bears full responsibility for the content they create

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Spoofie, you represent that you are at least 12 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

These Terms are supplemental to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA shall prevail.

3. App Description & Features

Spoofie is an entertainment application that allows users to:

• Schedule simulated notifications on their own device (morning greetings, evening messages, custom notifications)
• Customize notification appearance including sender name, message content, avatar (emoji or photo), and notification sound
• Use preset notification templates for entertainment purposes
• Create simulated chat conversations for entertainment
• Customize the app's appearance with themes and alternate app icons
• Enable privacy mode to hide notification content on the lock screen
• Use burst/spam mode to schedule multiple notifications in sequence

All features operate entirely on your device. No data is transmitted to external servers.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Spoofie only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the App to create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Use the App to impersonate any person or entity with malicious intent
• Use the App to deceive, defraud, or mislead others in a way that causes harm
• Use the App to create content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Use the App to create content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred
• Use screenshots or recordings from the App to harass, bully, or intimidate others
• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the functioning of any device
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to bypass any security or access control mechanisms of the App

5. Independence & Non-Affiliation

Spoofie is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with any of the following:

• Apple Inc. (beyond being distributed through the App Store)
• Any messaging platform or service (including but not limited to iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Signal, or any other communication platform)
• Any social media platform or network
• Any bank, financial institution, or payment service
• Any other company, brand, organization, or individual

Any resemblance between simulated notifications created by users and real notifications from any service is purely a result of user-generated content and does not imply any affiliation.

6. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

6.1 Subscription Plans

Spoofie offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans ("Spoofie PRO") that unlock additional features. Details about available plans and pricing are displayed within the App at the time of purchase.

6.2 Billing

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
• Free trial periods, if offered, will automatically convert to a paid subscription upon expiration unless canceled beforehand
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

6.3 Managing Subscriptions

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions after purchase. For more information, visit Apple's subscription management guide.

6.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple Support in accordance with Apple's refund policies. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to the design, code, graphics, icons, themes, templates, text, and overall look and feel, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
• You may not use the Spoofie name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent
• Notification templates and preset content are provided for personal, non-commercial use only

8. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using Spoofie (custom messages, sender names, uploaded photos). However:

• You are solely responsible for the content you create
• You represent that you have the right to use any photos you upload as avatars
• You agree not to create content that violates these Terms or any applicable law
• We are not responsible for how you use or share screenshots, recordings, or other output from the App

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Spoofie is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
• Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or its subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from pranks, jokes, or social interactions facilitated by the App

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Spoofie and its developers, officers, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Content you create using the App
• Your violation of any rights of any third party

11. Privacy

Your use of Spoofie is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at spoofieapp.com/privacy. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

Upon termination, all locally stored data will be deleted when you uninstall the App. Active subscriptions should be canceled through Apple's subscription management to avoid future charges.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App developer is located, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Apple's Standard EULA, constitute the entire agreement between you and Spoofie regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
